ACCG Foundation: Clean Water Project

Water is the essence of life. Yet, when water is contaminated and sanitation is inadequate, it becomes a source of illness and death. At the ACCG Foundation, we understand that access to clean and safe water is not just a necessity but a fundamental human right.

In many communities, particularly in rural areas, the lack of clean water and proper sanitation facilities leads to severe health issues. Children, especially those under the age of 7, are the most vulnerable. They are significantly more likely to die from waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, which stems from drinking unsafe water and living in environments without adequate sanitation.

The ACCG Foundation’s Clean Water Project is dedicated to changing this narrative. We focus on ensuring that every child and family in the communities we serve has access to safe drinking water. By drilling boreholes and installing water purification systems, we provide reliable sources of clean water, drastically reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases.

Our commitment goes beyond just providing clean water. We also focus on sustainability and resilience. By implementing water solutions that are climate-resilient, we prepare communities to better withstand future environmental challenges. This includes training local communities on the maintenance of water systems and promoting water conservation practices.

Through our Clean Water Project, we have seen significant improvements in the health and well-being of the communities we serve. Children are healthier, school attendance rates have increased, and communities are more empowered to take control of their health and future.
